Artist of the Month – Devi McCallion

I’ve been diving into Devi’s work a lot more as of late, and it’s safe to say that her stuff is suuuuper neat! She’s from Toronto, Ontario, has an immense discography, and has been making music since the early 2000s! Devi’s work is categorized as indietronica, I think.

She’s one half of the noise pop duo Black Dresses, which I also need to explore deeper! Devi’s got a lot of music videos up on her YouTube channel, too, and they’re a perfect accompaniment to her punchy, warbly synth music! Additionally, I believe she primarily uses a Roland MC-505 groovebox to make songs. I’d love to get my hands on something like that!! Here’s a song by Devi that I like a lot.

Thanks for reading, and check back next month for a new artist!
